What it is Itik and what is for
First of all Itik name
stands for nothing,
it isn't an abbreviation, it's just short and easy to remember. Second
it's modular Perl/Tk application which consists of parts that performs
given tasks - you can use these parts as separate console programs.
Itik should do the followning:
- grab messages from newsgroups and append them to regular
text file
- it works - you can download module and test Perl program from here
- get the messages from the file and writes them to SQLite database
- query the database and generates output report as html table
By means of it you can do all of the
tasks quite easily specifing your
profile in config files.
